Gunnery Sergeant Guthart is a certified emergency medical technician basic with additional training, including Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support; Advanced Cardiac Life Support;  Combat Lifesaver; and Tactical Combat Casualty Course and is an Air Force Self-Aid/Buddy-Care instructor and a Red Cross CPR/AED instructor. He also is a graduate of the Hospital Corpsman Basic Skills Course. He is a signals intelligence analyst/operator deployed to Central Command Forward Headquarters in Qatar. He holds a master of arts in intelligence studies from American Military University.
