LtCol Owen, a member of the adjunct faculty at Marine Corps University, holds master’s degrees in military studies (Marine Corps University) and cybersecurity (University of Maryland) and is a doctoral candidate in war studies at the Royal Military College of Canada. He is the author of To the Limit of Endurance: A Battalion of Marines in the Great War (Texas A&M University Press, 2007), winner of the General Wallace C. Greene Award, and coauthor of A Hideous Price: The 4th Brigade at Blanc Mont, 2–10 October 1918 (U.S. Marine Corps History Division, 2019)
