Ensign Clark is a student naval aviator in Pensacola, Florida. This essay complements her recently completed thesis at the Naval Postgraduate School, where she earned a master’s degree in homeland security. She commissioned through the STA-21 program and previously served as an aircraft structural mechanic on MH-53Es.
